This year’s Kagami Biraki Ceremony will by hosted at Aikido Contra Costa’s new location (1436 Royal Industrial Way Concord). The event will include a beginning of year ceremony, Aikido classes led by Hendricks Shihan and dojo demos.

Class will include a special weapons randori class and will be followed by a community pot luck.

Instructors

Patricia Hendricks Shihan holds the rank of 7th Dan and is a direct student of Morihiro Saito Shihan. She is renowned for her powerful and precise technique, emphasizing the fundamental principles of Iwama-style Aikido. Her teaching is characterized by clarity, dedication, and a deep understanding of body mechanics and weapons.
